In our previous article, we explored what the term IBS (industrialised Building System) construction actually means. And the reason why we have decided to use this system for all our construction projects is just the overwhelming amount of benefits that IBS can bring. The first and main benefit you will get with IBS construction is simple – Speed.

50 per cent faster

There are quite a few studies that have shown that IBS solutions can complete a project in almost half the time compared to regular construction. And this is because with IBS there are many components of a project that can be built off-site and at a faster rate. The term industrialises building system comes from the fact that things like floors, walls, steel frames, etc. all can be built in an industrialised manner much like what you might see in a factory. And thus, it can be built at a much faster rate.

Additionally, once a project has been approved, selected elements of an IBS building can already start being produced in a factory or an off-site location while the project site is being prepared. So, when the site is finally ready, these components can just be transported and immediately assembled there.

Reduced Disruption

A traditional building method requires quite a high number of workers, and a few different subcontractors to complete a project. With IBS construction the same project can be completed with fewer workers. This not only reduces the cost of the building but also reduces the complication that can sometimes arise from the workers, for example, health complications or work permit restrictions.

And because most of the components can be built offsite in a controlled environment, the dependency on weather conditions is also reduced.

With a faster construction time, our clients can start making use of the completed project in a faster time which reduces the lost in opportunity cost. And result in more savings.
